I woke up early enough today to watch the sun burning off some thick fog right now. It is a lovely, lovely feeling to wake up early and super rested and just lie in bed, feeling happy! This week has been busy but really quite good.

Fun fact: I only saw Inception once and I still hate it. But Edith Piaf stays independently good.
I'm on Day 2 of aggressive loafing, after about ten 14-hour days in a row, and it's great. My apartment finally feels like it's coming together (after more than two years!), I'm getting junk off the floor, I'm feeling energized and ready to get some work done. This feels super good! It's been a while since a straight-up grabbyhands post, hasn't it.
When I checked my bank account this morning, I had a little more than $105 in checking. HAPPY AUGUST!! I cannot wait to start getting paid, especially for the damn work I've already done, but also not least because there's a bunch of stuff I just want.- For instance, Doc Martens likes to torment me, like with these black-and-white brogue Mary Janes. I discovered today, as I spent a good chunk of the X-Files pilot slathering them with Wonder Balsam, that I own seven pairs of Doc Martens, including the completely amazing pair I bought yesterday.
